The department of Electrical Engineering
was established in the year 2000.Electrical Engineering LabThe
Electrical Engineering department is headed by Prof. S.K.Gupta
who has wide administrative,teaching and field experience.The
other faculty members also have wide teaching experience.The
department offers B.E. in Electrical Engineeing of four years
duration; the intake capacities are 60 students respectively.
The Electrical Labs are well equipped
with high quality precision equipment,instruments and necessary
software programs.The following are the Electrical Engineering
labs in the campus.

The institution encourages the faculty
members for acquiring additional professional degree from
reputed Engineering colleges. Mr.M.Lalwani has been registered
for Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering in the year 2004
at MNIT, Jaipur. SMCET also deputes the faculty members for
Short Term Seminars, Workshops etc. being organized by various
technical institutions to acquaint with the latest developments
in the field of Electrical Engineering, Prof.S.K.Gupta
and Mr.M.Lalwani have attended the Short Term Program
on the topic "Recent Trends in Power Electronics
and Industrial Drivers" during the peroid 21st
Dec.to 31 Dec,2004 at MNIT, Jaipur. Mr.M Lalwani
have attended the Short Term Program on the topic "Solar
Photovoltiacs Technologies: Present and Future "
during the period 21 April to 23 April 2005 at IIT Bombay.
A seminar was held by Mr.M.K
Panchal on the topic of "Maintenance
of Electrical Drives" in the college campus
in the month of Feb-2005.The students of 3rd semester Electrical
Engineering visited IIT-Rourkee and BHEL,Haridwar in the month
of August 2004 and lot of interaction was made by the students
as well as faculty members with the faculty members of IIT-Rourkee
as well as the technical officers of BHEL,Haridwar.
Prof.S.K.Gupta has also
attended "All India Energy Efficiency capacity
Building Program" seminar convened by Rajasthan
chamber of commerce and IREDA,New Delhi,during the period
2nd Feb to 4th Feb.2006. Mr.Nagendra Swarnkar
had attended the "Faculty Induction Program"
course at Maharashi Arvind Institutes of Engineering
and Technology,Jaipur which was sponsored by AICTE.
