Chairman’s Message to Students and Industry

It is heartening to see that the vision of SMCET, is finally taking shape. Our determination to “Make Each Better Than the previous One”, has made year 2003-2004 witness large scale developmental works, which include development of separate academic blocks for each branch of engineering, a new E- learning block housing all the six electronics laboratories, Computerized central library with “DELNET” facility and a large Computer centre comprising eight separate computer laboratories with broadband VSAT connectivity. All these propel the Stani Memorial College of Engineering and Technology to occupy a place of prominence in the state. In order to help our students in pursuing their motto to get a “Good placement”, the SMCET has been following “Dynamic Teaching Learning Strategy”, where new initiatives, linkages with corporate and international engineering institutions and continuous improvement in the quality of resources have become a regular process. For achieving these goals the college continuously invests in upgrading its faculty, infrastructure and systems.

It is our belief that the personally of a student is groomed by the environment he/she lives in. We provide a healthy and disciplined environment that ensures quality education and personality development through a host of extra-curricular activities. All these are possible only in a residential institution like ours.

SMCET is an a ‘State of the art sprawling campus’ spread-over 60 acres of land. I welcome the young students who dream of becoming engineers to the SMCET “Where we strive to develop our students into engineers of global standards with enormous value addition in their career”.

To the industry I Would like to state that in the SMCET our students do not receive mere engineering education; we also train them to imbibe and cultivate human traits such as’, Organisational loyalty’, and a ‘high level of performance’ for achieving the ‘Organisational goals ’.So the industry would find in every Engineer who passes-out of SMCET, communication skills of a high order, sincerity of purpose, competitive performance and capacity to yield high-quality results.

At the end I complement the principal, Faculty, staff and students of the SMCET for working in cohesion towards the vision of global quality standards.
